ValueCube takes user privacy seriously and complies with applicable laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, used, retained, and deleted when users access ValueCube, as well as the rights available to users.

This Privacy Policy applies from June 6, 2026.

2. Purposes of Processing Personal Information

ValueCube processes personal information or service usage information for the following purposes.

Providing the Values Test

  • ValueCube calculates scores across key dimensions, including economics, culture, power, and social scope, based on users’ responses and provides one of 16 value type results.
  • ValueCube calculates additional information about users’ strength of conviction and uses it to interpret their Values Test results.
  • ValueCube creates result pages where users can view or share their results.

Generating and Delivering Personalized Reports

  • ValueCube generates Personalized Reports based on users’ individual responses, response intensity, axis scores, value tags, opposing value tags, type information, and other relevant data.
  • A Personalized Report goes beyond a basic type description. It uses the user’s response patterns to provide customized interpretations of their values, decision-making criteria, relationship patterns, and tendencies in work and daily life.
  • ValueCube verifies that payment has been completed and delivers the Personalized Report as a PDF, through a download link, by email, or by another method designated by ValueCube.
  • ValueCube uses this information to resend Personalized Reports, investigate errors, respond to customer inquiries, and verify payment and delivery history.

Managing Payments and Orders for Paid Services

  • ValueCube uses relevant information to process payments for Personalized Reports and other Paid Services, confirm completed payments, identify orders, and handle cancellation or refund requests.
  • ValueCube processes information necessary to address fraudulent or duplicate payments, payment errors, refund disputes, and similar issues.
  • Payments may be processed through external payment services such as payment processors.

Improving Service Quality and Conducting Statistical Analysis

  • ValueCube analyzes response distributions by question, score distributions by axis, type distributions, and response trends by country and language.
  • ValueCube reviews potential question bias, the suitability of its result calculation methods, the accuracy of type descriptions, and the quality of Personalized Reports.
  • ValueCube uses relevant information to improve the Service, questions, result interpretations, and Personalized Reports, and to conduct statistical analysis and research.

Maintaining Security and Stable Service Operation

  • ValueCube detects and responds to abnormal access, malicious requests, Service failures, misuse, and payment abuse.
  • ValueCube processes technical logs needed to operate its servers and databases.

Responding to User Inquiries and Rights Requests

  • ValueCube responds to requests to access, correct, or delete personal information, suspend its processing, or withdraw consent.
  • ValueCube handles questions, errors, reports, complaints, and other matters concerning the Service, Values Test results, Personalized Reports, payments, and refunds.

Providing and Monetizing Advertising

  • ValueCube displays advertisements through third-party advertising services such as Google AdSense.
  • ValueCube measures and analyzes advertising performance, including impressions, clicks, and conversions.
  • ValueCube generates advertising revenue needed to operate the Service.

3. Categories of Personal Information Processed

When users take the free Values Test, ValueCube does not, in principle, collect directly identifiable personal information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, resident registration numbers, or precise addresses.

However, ValueCube may process the following information to provide the Service, store results, enable sharing features, generate and deliver Personalized Reports, process payments, improve the Service, and maintain security.

As a general rule, ValueCube does not collect directly identifiable information such as a user’s name, email address, or phone number by linking it to Values Test results. However, when a user purchases a Personalized Report or requests email delivery, support, a refund, or error investigation, ValueCube may process email addresses, payment and order information, and inquiry details to the extent necessary for that purpose.

4. Processing Sensitive Information or Information of a Similar Nature

ValueCube is a Values Test service. Service questions may concern economics, culture, power, social scope, communities, institutions, and the criteria people use to make decisions in life.

Depending on the questions and response patterns, users’ responses, Values Test results, and Personalized Report generation data may therefore constitute information from which their social values, political opinions, or beliefs can be inferred.

The Personal Information Protection Act classifies information concerning political opinions as sensitive information. Accordingly, ValueCube handles Values Test responses, result information, and Personalized Report generation data with care as sensitive information or information of a similar nature.

Sensitive information or information of a similar nature that ValueCube may process includes the following.

  • Responses to individual questions concerning economics, culture, power, social scope, and related topics
  • Axis scores
  • One of 16 value type results
  • Strength-of-conviction results
  • Value tags and opposing value tags
  • Result interpretation information
  • Input data used to generate Personalized Reports
  • Generated Personalized Report Content

ValueCube processes the above information only for the following purposes.

  • Providing users with free Values Test results
  • Generating and delivering Personalized Reports purchased by users
  • Improving Service quality, questions, and Personalized Reports, and conducting statistical analysis and research
  • Maintaining security and Service stability
  • Providing customer support for inquiries, error investigation, redelivery, refunds, and similar matters

ValueCube does not use users’ Values Test responses, value results, type results, or Personalized Report Content for advertising targeting, political party or candidate promotion, election campaigns, political campaigns, individual political profiling, or data sales.

5. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

ValueCube retains personal information or service usage information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was processed. Once the processing purpose has been fulfilled or the retention period has expired, ValueCube deletes the relevant information without undue delay.

6. Processing Personal Information When Generating Personalized Reports

When a user purchases a Personalized Report, ValueCube generates it based on the user’s Values Test responses and result data.

The following information may be processed when generating a Personalized Report.

  • Responses to individual questions
  • Response intensity
  • Axis scores
  • One of 16 value type results
  • Strength-of-conviction results
  • Value tags and opposing value tags
  • Question metadata needed to interpret results
  • Input data used to generate the report
  • The generated report Content and PDF file
  • The email address used to deliver the report
  • Payment completion status and order identification information

Personalized Reports may be generated using automated systems or artificial intelligence.

To generate Personalized Reports, ValueCube may transmit users’ Values Test responses and result data to, or otherwise process them through, external services such as artificial intelligence API providers to the extent necessary.

In such cases, ValueCube excludes or minimizes directly identifying information not needed to generate the Personalized Report wherever reasonably possible and uses the information only to the extent required for the processing purpose.

A Personalized Report is reference material that interprets the user’s responses. It is not intended to definitively determine the user’s personality, abilities, psychological state, beliefs, actual behavior, or future choices.

7. Use for Research and Service Quality Improvement

ValueCube may analyze users’ Values Test responses and result data to improve Service quality, Values Test questions, and Personalized Reports.

The analysis may include the following information.

  • Responses to individual questions
  • Axis scores
  • One of 16 value type results
  • Strength-of-conviction results
  • Value tags and opposing value tags
  • Information related to Personalized Report generation quality
  • Country and language information
  • Random UUIDs

ValueCube follows the principles below when using information for research and Service quality improvement.

  • As a general rule, ValueCube does not collect directly identifiable information such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers by linking it to Values Test data.
  • ValueCube uses randomly generated identifiers, such as Random UUIDs, to distinguish users.
  • ValueCube may process country and language information to analyze trends by country and language.
  • ValueCube applies pseudonymization or anonymization so that specific individuals cannot be identified.
  • Analysis results are used only to improve questions, type descriptions, result calculation methods, Personalized Report quality, and overall Service quality, and to conduct statistical analysis and research.
  • ValueCube does not track or sell individual users’ political orientation, values, or beliefs.

Use of information for research and Service quality improvement may be handled separately from processing that is essential to providing Values Test results or Personalized Reports, and ValueCube may obtain separate optional consent where necessary. ValueCube may operate the Service so that declining such use does not restrict access to the Values Test itself.

8. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

As a general rule, ValueCube does not provide users’ personal information to third parties.

However, ValueCube may provide personal information in the following exceptional circumstances.

  • When the user has given explicit consent in advance
  • When disclosure is required by law
  • When a law enforcement agency, court, regulatory authority, or other public body makes a lawful request

ValueCube does not sell or provide users’ Values Test responses, value results, type results, or Personalized Report Content to advertisers, political parties, political organizations, election-related organizations, data brokers, or similar third parties.

9. Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing

ValueCube may outsource personal information processing to the following external service providers to ensure stable Service delivery, process payments, and generate and deliver Personalized Reports.

10. Cross-Border Transfer or Overseas Processing of Personal Information

ValueCube may operate the Service using Vercel, Supabase, Google AdSense, artificial intelligence API providers, payment processors, email delivery services, and other external providers. As a result, personal information or service usage information may be processed or stored outside the user’s country while the Service is being provided.

When personal information is transferred or processed overseas, ValueCube implements safeguards required by applicable laws.

11. Deletion Procedures and Methods

When the retention period for personal information expires or the processing purpose has been fulfilled, ValueCube deletes the relevant information without undue delay.

  • Electronic files are securely deleted so that they cannot readily be restored or reproduced.
  • Information stored in a database is deleted from the Supabase database or anonymized so that individuals cannot be identified.
  • Personalized Report PDF files and report outputs are deleted when their retention period expires or the processing purpose has been fulfilled.
  • Statistical data used for Service improvement and research may be retained after being anonymized so that specific individuals cannot be identified.

12. User Rights and How to Exercise Them

Users may exercise the following rights concerning their personal information at any time.

  • Request access to personal information
  • Request correction of personal information
  • Request deletion of personal information
  • Request suspension of personal information processing
  • Request withdrawal of consent to personal information processing

As a general rule, ValueCube does not collect directly identifiable information such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers by linking it to free Values Test results. Therefore, ValueCube may be unable to locate or delete a user’s individual data unless the user provides information that can identify it, such as the result page URL, Random UUID, result identifier, payment order identifier, report delivery email address, or approximate date of inquiry.

When ValueCube receives a rights request, it will take action without undue delay in accordance with applicable laws. However, the request may be restricted where retention is required by law, the request may infringe the rights and interests of other users, retention is needed to address a payment or dispute, or the relevant data cannot be technically identified.

13. Children’s Personal Information

As a general rule, ValueCube does not provide the Service to children under the age of 14.

A child under the age of 14 may need the consent of a legal representative to use the Service. ValueCube does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 14.

If ValueCube learns that it has collected personal information from a child under the age of 14 without the consent of a legal representative, it will delete the information or take other necessary measures without undue delay.

14. Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies

ValueCube may use cookies or similar technologies to provide the Service, improve usability, conduct statistical analysis, maintain security, display advertising, and measure advertising performance.

Cookies are small data files stored in a user’s browser. ValueCube may use Google AdSense to display advertisements, and Google AdSense may use advertising cookies and identifiers to serve ads, measure advertising performance, and provide personalized advertising.

In regions where applicable laws require consent, including the EU/EEA and the United Kingdom, ValueCube may process advertising cookies and personalized advertising data only after obtaining user consent through a Consent Management Platform (CMP). Users can use the CMP to choose whether to allow essential or optional cookies and personalized advertising.

Users can reject or delete cookies through their browser settings and manage personalized advertising preferences through Google’s advertising settings. However, blocking cookies may prevent some features from working properly or prevent advertisements from appearing.

15. Use of Advertising Services Such as Google AdSense

ValueCube may display advertisements through Google AdSense.

Google and third-party advertising providers may use cookies, advertising identifiers, access information, and similar data to provide interest-based or personalized advertisements and to measure advertising performance, including impressions and clicks.

Advertising-related information processed through Google AdSense may include IP addresses, browser and device information, access URLs, advertising impression and click information, advertising cookies, and advertising identifiers.

ValueCube does not provide, sell, or share users’ responses, value results, 16-type results, strength-of-conviction results, or Personalized Report Content with Google or advertisers. ValueCube does not target advertising for a particular political party, candidate, political organization, political campaign, or election-related matter based on Values Test results or Personalized Report Content.

16. Security Measures

ValueCube takes the following measures to process personal information securely.

ValueCube may use Google AdSense and similar services to install and operate advertising cookies for advertising and performance measurement. Advertising service providers such as Google AdSense may set and manage these cookies, and where required by applicable laws, the cookies will be used only after user consent is obtained through a CMP.

Users may reject the storage of cookies through their browser settings.

If this Privacy Policy changes, ValueCube will notify users of the changes and their effective date through the Service or a notice.
